Reflection

Paul prays that believers would be strengthened with power through the Spirit in their inner being. The emphasis is important. The strength does not originate from us. It comes from the Spirit of God working within us.

Leadership pressure exposes the difference between external competence and internal reinforcement. Skills, experience, and discipline carry a leader only so far. Eventually the weight becomes too great for personal strength alone.

Paul describes something deeper — a strengthening that comes from God Himself. When the Spirit reinforces the inner being, leaders gain durability that circumstances cannot easily shake.

This is why rootedness in Christ matters. When leaders know they are grounded in something eternal, they do not need to manufacture stability. They are sustained by it.

The stronger the reinforcement within, the steadier the leadership that flows outward.

Practical Application

Pause today and consider where pressure is draining you.

Invite God to strengthen you where your own strength is insufficient.

Lead today from dependence rather than self-reliance.
